It is time to celebrate, CROP Recruiters!!!
Arlene has sent out the final report for the 2010 CROP Walk and it is fabulous - $20,693.53!! Hooray and Hallelujah!!
I have a big smile on my face and such joy in my heart, thinking about all the people around the world who will have a better 2011 because of our dedicated and caring community.
Of course, you are crucial in our walkathon outcome and I can't thank you enough for all that you have done to help us reach this highest dollar amount in the 37 years of our local walk.
The 2011 CROP Walk Coordinator will be Josie Eriole of the New Paltz Reformed Church. Jane Conger, of Clintondale Friends Christian Church, is the new treasurer. I am grateful for their desire to lead and know that with your support they are in good hands.
I want to give Arlene a huge THANK YOU for her 10 years of serving as treasurer. The job of counting, calling, collecting, calling, record keeping, calling (and all with a smile on her face!) is a vital part of the CROP walk. Arlene was the one who, back in 2003, asked me to be the new CROP coordinator and for that I am eternally grateful.
As for me, my seven years as coordinator have been blessed with meeting some of the most wonderful people in our community - YOU! Thank you for all you have taught me about living a life of love and compassion for our brothers and sisters around the world.
Happy New Year! And for 2011 my prayer is "Peace on Earth, good will to all".
Shalom,
Adriana
