We're excited! Our congregation has a new pastor. The Reverend Tobias V. Anderson has accepted a call to our congregation. Pastor Anderson comes to us from Good Shepard Lutheran Church, located in Pearl River, New York. Sunday, August 2d will be Pastor Anderson's first day presiding at Redeemer, and we'd like to extend an invitation to everyone, members and guests, to attend our service and meet Pastor Anderson.
Pastor Anderson succeeds Reverend William Wiecher, who resigned his call on 1 June 2008 and accepted a new call, along with his wife, Reverend Wynemah Hinlicky, and family to College Lutheran Church in Roanoke, Virginia. Almost immediately upon Pastor Wiecher's departure Redeemer was blessed to have Reverend Albert Ahlstrom begin his tenure as Interim Pastor - a position he filled for a year.
During this interim period, Redeemer completed the process for calling a new pastor, and on 28 May 2009 our congregation voted unanimously to extend a call to the Reverend Tobias Anderson, and we're excited and proud to say that Pastor Tobias and his family accepted this call.
Come and share our excitement as we begin a new ministry.
