Oceanside Lutheran Church is growing...lots of fresh produce! The parish garden is bringing members together to weed, teaching children about God's creation, and providing delicious vegetables for a local food pantry. Read about "God's Garden" in the newest Lutheran New Yorker bulletin insert and share the story with your congregation. The inserts are available in color and black-and-white, in two different formats.

No longer just a hymn title, “Shall we gather at the river?” was recently a serious question asked from one group of Lutherans to another. "Worship at the River" brought six Lutheran congregations together on the banks of the Hudson one Sunday morning in September. "There was a sense that Jesus was really calling us together," said one participant.

Head teacher Joyce Lwakatare from Kibeta English Medium Primary School (KEMPS) wrote recently to say that all Standard 7 students "passed well" the national exam. This means that the students are now qualified for admission to secondary school.  In a country where many children are not able to continue to high school due to language barriers, KEMPS continues to be a very effective school. Teachers Aaron and Stephanie are part of that success. Congratulations, Standard 7!
