The 2010 New Paltz CROP Walk will be held on October 17, 2010.

The New Paltz WALK starts at SUNY Parking Lot #18 on corner of Plattekill Ave and South Manheim (also registration area).  Up South Manheim to Rte 299 (Main Street), down to the Wallkill Rail Trail and heads north to Wallkill Bridge and then back to parking lot (total of 5 miles).

You may pick-up a donation sheet at Family of New Paltz, New Paltz area Churches, Synagogue and on the day of the walk at registration (you can sponsor yourself).

2009 year's CROP Walk was dedicated to the memory of Diana Dierks. Diana was a member of the New Paltz Society of Friends, and her dedication and commitment to the "Walk" were missed.

In 2009 (as a token entrance "fee,") all participants were asked to bring a canned or boxed food item for the food pantries; all participants are being asked to do this again in 2010.

Rain didn't dampen the spirits of the over 100 Walkers who participated in the 2009 New Paltz CROP Walk.

The 2009 WALK started under the tent from the former New Paltz Student Christian building, across SUNY Parking Lot #18.  Up So. Manheim to Rte 299 (Main Street), down to the Wallkill Rail Trail and headed north to Wallkill Bridge.  At the bridge there were refreshments with water and fruit provided by Robin's Warehouse and Hurd's Family Farm. Free ice cream cone tickets were handed out at bridge, provided by Stewart's Ice Cream.

The final totals are in for 2009 and once again, this exceeded the total amount raised from the previous year.  The Grand total raised is $18,461.58. Hallelujah!!  And because of YOU, 25% of total raised ($ 4,615.40) will be going directly to local charities.
